A new word in the carpet industry from the Interface! Meet the Embodied Beauty collection of the first carbon negative carpet tiles inspired by the aesthetics of Japanese minimalism and the organic beauty of nature.
Nature has always had a way of managing the amount of carbon in our atmosphere by storing it in the plants and trees that cover our planet. However, as human activity releases more and more carbon dioxide, the natural world is struggling to keep up.
Interface has learned to work with carbon by using it as a building block to engineer better products. This journey has led them to create products that store carbon, keeping it locked in a material, and kept out of the atmosphere.
The Embodied Beauty collection is designed to lower the carbon footprint of your space with style. All of the products within the Embodied Beauty collection are carbon neutral across their full product life cycle with products that are carbon negative marked with [-CO2].

The collection is inspired by the Japanese aesthetics of minimalism, restoration, and the organic beauty of the natural world. From narrow monochromatic patterns to large scale graphic tufted textures, these styles all combine and contrast tastefully. The collection embraces calm, muted greys in warm and cool tones alongside natural colours for added dimension.

Embodied Beauty collection uses two of our CQuest backings.
CQuest™BioX - Shishu Stitch, Tokyo Texture, and Zen Stitch use CQuestBioX backing. The carbon negative materials in CQuest™BioX backing, in combination with specialty yarns and tufting processes, result in a carbon negative carpet tile.
CQuest™Bio - Geisha Gather, Sashiko Stitch, Simple Sash, and Vintage Kimono use CQuestBio backing. The materials in the backing are carbon negative and lower the carbon footprint of the product.
